Paint Correction Services

Restore your paints shine by removing scratches, swirls, water spots, and oxidation.

What is Paint Correction

Paint Correction is a professional detailing process aimed at removing imperfections from a vehicle's paintwork to restore its original clarity, depth, and gloss. Unlike basic detailing services that focus on cleaning and polishing, paint correction involves the precise removal of defects, such as scratches and swirl marks, through multiple stages of machine polishing.

What Paint Correction Addresses:

  1. Swirl Marks: Fine circular scratches often caused by improper washing or drying techniques.
  2. Scratches: Light to moderate scratches that haven’t penetrated the clear coat.
  3. Oxidation: Fading or dullness caused by prolonged exposure to the sun and environmental elements.
  4. Etchings: Marks left by bird droppings, bug splatter, water spots, or tree sap.
  5. Holograms: Visible streaks or patterns often caused by improper machine polishing.

Paint Correction Process:

  1. Thorough Wash and Decontamination:
    • The vehicle is meticulously cleaned and clayed to remove surface contaminants.

  1. Inspection:
    • Specialized lighting is used to identify imperfections and determine the level of correction required.

  1. Machine Polishing:
    • Single-Step Correction: Removes minor imperfections and restores gloss.
    • Multi-Step Correction: A more intensive process using a series of abrasive compounds and polishes to address deeper scratches and severe defects.

  1. Finishing Touches:
    • Once the defects are removed, the paint is refined to achieve a mirror-like finish.
    • A protective layer, such as wax, sealant, or ceramic coating, is often applied to preserve the corrected finish.

Benefits of Paint Correction:

  • Restores the vehicle’s paint to a like-new or better-than-new condition.
  • Enhances gloss, depth, and clarity, giving the vehicle a showroom-quality finish.
  • Prepares the surface for long-term protection with a sealant or ceramic coating.

Paint correction is a meticulous and time-intensive service but provides unparalleled results, making it ideal for car enthusiasts, collectors, or anyone looking to rejuvenate their vehicle’s appearance.

PAINT CORRECTION

What are the four types of Paint Correction?

Types of Paint Correction Services

Paint Correction is offered in four levels, each designed to address different degrees of imperfections and deliver varying levels of clarity, depth, and gloss improvement. Here's an overview of the types of Paint Correction and what they achieve:

1. Paint Enhancement

  • Description:
A single-stage polishing process aimed at enhancing the paint’s gloss and minimizing light imperfections such as minor swirls and oxidation.
  • Ideal For:
Vehicles with relatively good paint condition needing a refresh or mild improvement.
  • Results:
Increases paint clarity and gloss by 25%–40%.

2. 1-Step Paint Correction

  • Description:
A more refined polishing process using a single abrasive compound and polishing pad to correct moderate imperfections like light scratches, swirl marks, and haze.
  • Ideal For:
Vehicles with moderate defects or those needing noticeable improvement without committing to extensive correction.
  • Results:
Achieves 50%–75% clarity while significantly enhancing depth and gloss.

3. 2-Step Paint Correction

  • Description:
A two-stage process involving an aggressive compound to remove deeper scratches, swirls, and oxidation, followed by a refining polish to restore a smooth, high-gloss finish.
  • Ideal For:
Vehicles with heavy imperfections, such as severe swirls, scratches, or paint dullness, requiring comprehensive correction.
  • Results:
Delivers 75%–90% clarity, depth, and gloss, leaving the paint significantly restored.

4. Wet Sanding

  • Description:
The most intensive paint correction process, involving the careful wet sanding of the surface to level out deep scratches, etchings, or paint texture. This is followed by multiple stages of polishing to restore clarity and shine.
  • Ideal For:
Vehicles with severe imperfections, such as deep scratches, orange peel, or heavy oxidation, where other methods fall short.
  • Results:
Achieves an exceptional finish with 90%–99% clarity and gloss, bringing the paint to near-perfect condition.

Why Choose Paint Correction?

Each type of Paint Correction is tailored to the vehicle’s condition and the owner’s goals, whether it’s minor enhancement or a complete transformation. By restoring your vehicle’s paintwork, you not only improve its aesthetic appeal but also prepare the surface for long-term protection with wax, sealants, or ceramic coatings.
